Not-Netflix Natters Series 2 Episode8: Children Do Not Need a Curated Childhood

During our holiday there were library visits, bus trips, films, races and plenty of imaginative play. Very little depended on screens, yet there was never a shortage of excitement.

Children are far more discerning than adults often assume.

They know when something feels real. They know when it feels manufactured. And they return to stories and experiences that feel alive.

That is true of childhood itself.

Children are not asking for perfection.

They are asking for life.

For stories worth entering. For characters who feel real. For adults who trust them.

Children do not need a carefully curated childhood.

They need a lived one.
